In 1991, Glade Michael “Mike” Ross had a vision to start a company based on integrity and placing clients’ interests first. As a result, he founded GMR, creating an organization many of our clients say is the industry leader. Mike’s first career was in public safety, garnering experience from just about every discipline in public safety, including law enforcement and fire and emergency medical service. After numerous years defending the public, Mike entered the bank security field with Republic Bank Texas. Through his work with bank security, Mike developed an enterprise-wide Life Safety Program as well as management responsibilities for physical security, key personnel protection, contingency planning, and ATM customer safety standards program development. Decades later, Mike’s founding desire to not be just another vendor continues every day through work that is honest and trustworthy and a staff that is committed to identifying the best practices for the future in growing longtime client relationships.
In his spare time, Mike is a Bible study leader, works in Marketplace Missions and other personal interests in cycling, transpacific yacht sailing, cooking, traveling, and being with friends and family.
